Kandagawa Jet Girls là một sản phẩm được ra đời với sự hợp tác của Kenichiro Takaki (nhà sản xuất của dòng Senran Kagura), hãng Marvelous và Kadokawa cùng studio anime EGG FIRM. Trò chơi này lần đầu tiên được phát hành ở thị trường Nhật vào ngày 16 tháng 1 vừa qua, trong khi bộ anime của series này cũng đã vừa được công chiếu từ tháng 10 năm ngoái đến tháng 1 năm nay.

Kandagawa Jet Girls kể về câu chuyện của những cô gái vô cùng dễ thương được họa sĩ Naruko Hanaharu thiết kế tham gia vào những cuộc đua motor nước ở sông Kanda thành phố Tokyo trong bối cảnh tương lai không xa. Những người tham gia vào mỗi cuộc đua này sẽ được chia ra làm các đội hai người, với các Jetter có nhiệm vụ điều khiển khiển chiếc motor nước và các Shooter ngồi đằng sau có nhiệm vụ sử dụng những khẩu súng nước để bắn các đội đua khác.

Trò chơi sẽ bao gồm một chế độ chơi cốt truyện đã được lồng tiếng đầy đủ cùng một chế độ chơi online. Người chơi sẽ có khả năng được tùy chỉnh những chiếc motor nước của chính mình và trang phục của nhân vật, bên cạnh những chi tiết khác như đường rám nắng của họ. Đáng tiếc game sẽ không có chế đội chơi phối hợp local. Dàn diễn viên lồng tiếng của game sẽ bao gồm những seiyuu vô cùng tài năng như Ai Fairouz và Rumi Okubo.

Phiên bản “Racing Hearts” day one của Kandagawa Jet Girls sẽ bao gồm một bản copy của game, 2 CD gồm 54 bản nhạc của game, và một bộ tranh có kích cỡ 5.5” x 7.3” bao gồm 60 trang. Bìa cover của “Racing Hearts” được vẽ bởi chính họa sĩ Hanaharu Naruko. So với phiên bản Limited edition của game được phát hành tại thị trường Nhật Bản thì người hâm mộ toàn cầu sẽ không bị bỏ lỡ bất cứ điều gì… ngoại trừ một đĩa anime OVA.

Giống như phiên bản được phát hành ở thị trường Nhật Bản, Kandagawa Jet Girls sẽ có DLC là các cô gái đến từ series Senran Kagura. Trong phiên bản được phát hành trên toàn cầu của game, các nhân vật Ryobi và Ryona sẽ được có sẵn trong trò chơi gốc, và các bản DLC đầu tiên sẽ bao gồm các nhân vật Asuka và Yumi, game bài đổi thưởng trực tuyến . Các nhân vật DLC còn lại sẽ bao gồm Murasaki và Mirai, Ikaruga và Yumi, Homura và Hikage. Thời gian phát hành và trị giá của các bản DLC này sẽ được công bố trong tương lai.

Tuy nhà sản xuất chính của Kandagawa Jet Girls là Kenichiro Takaki (hiện đang làm việc tại Cygames), một điều mà những người hâm mộ cần lưu ý đó chính là đội ngũ phát triển game không phải là đội ngũ phát triển dòng Senran Kagura. Thay vào đó studio chịu trách nghiệm cho game là Shade, đội ngũ từng đảm nhiệm cho các trò chơi của dòng Bullet Girls và Gun Gun Pixies.
